The YMCA has a wonderful program for fathers and daughters called the “Y-Princess” program. This was originally an American Indian themed program but is now being transitioned to an adventure theme.

The YMCA Laguna Nation needed a new logo to go along with their new adventure name the Laguna Wild. BobCo’s logo solution was to avoid design solutions that would confuse people into thinking that this was a theme park. The name is not descriptive of what type of organization this is so the logo needed to communicate that.

BobCo’s solution was to use a silhouette of a dad and daughter hiking up a hill holding hands. The girl is leading the dad as a metaphor for the growth of the girl and her relationship to her father during their time with the program. The hands become the focal point and symbolic of the meaning of the program.

Calavo Grower Recruitment Brochure

For Calavo, the avocado growers are family and the life source of their business. Calavo was originally a co-op back when they originally introduced the avocado to the country so the ability to nuture and build on that community is very important.

With that in mind, Calavo wanted a brochure that showed the multiple ways that a Calavo relationship benefits the grower. BobCo designed a die-cut brochure that shows a grower picking an avocado as the central image. As you open the brochure, the same grower is juxtaposed in a collage with the Calavo world. The first spread shows the marketing support and reach of the Calavo brand. The second spread shows the vast grower community.

Calavo Diversified Materials Package

Calavo was making a big push to expand beyond avocados and offer many other produce commodities. They wanted a package of materials that would communicate the breadth of thier offerings.

BobCo developed this folder with inserts to target the produce buyer at grocery chains. The concept and imagery centered around the idea that Calavo could supply most of the product for the produce section therefore making the buyer’s job much easier. We used an overstuffed grocery bag that was bursting with fruit and vegetables and shot with a wide-angle lens. Lush imagery that evokes the romance of quality fresh food.
