Bob Nenninger

Bob is an award-winning designer and brand strategist with over 25 years building some of the world’s most recognizable brands. Bob grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and earned his BFA in Visual Communications and Illustration at N. Arizona University. Additionally, he studied photography and lithography at the University of New Mexico.

Upon graduation, Bob was recruited by RBD Marketing Communications, an agency based in downtown Los Angeles. Working as an Art Director his accounts included Bechtel, TRW, Excel Equipment, and Thomson Pharmaceuticals.

He accepted an offer to work for one of the largest design agencies in Orange County, Korobkin & Associates where he went on to create award-winning work for Toyota, Disney, Lexus, Coldwell Banker, Hyundai, Taco Bell, Bandai America, Orange County Performing Arts Center, The Mighty Ducks, and many others. He was well recognized for designing the entire brand identity and toy packaging for Bandai’s Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers toy line – which became one of the biggest toy brands in history – second only to Barbie.

In 1994, Bob started BobCo Brands – a design and brand strategy studio. Throughout its 18 years of business, BobCo Design had assembled a formidable list of clients including Bandai America, Pepperdine University, Disney, National University, Upper Deck, UC Irvine, Calavo Growers, Laureate Education, Inc., Jacobs Engineering, Universal Studios, Fluor Corporation, Panda Express, Baja Fresh, ZPizza and Kettley Publishing among others. During this time Bob created such iconic brands as the Tamagotchi Virtual Pet (Toy of the Year); and ZPizza, which grew from 15 units to over 100 units as a result of his re-branding
work. Achievements were many as the work he created for these clients were selected for national design award annuals, coffee table design books and the permanent collection of the Library of Congress.

In 2012 Bob joined forces with long-time friend and business associate Phil Buck to form Mix Marketing..
