Phil Buck

Phil has more than 25 years experience in advertising, design, and sales promotion in the retail, food service, and packaged goods industries. Phil has a BFA degree in Graphic Design and Marketing from California State University, Long Beach.

His early design experience includes 5 years with Larry McAdams Design in Newport Beach, where his work included menu, POS, and collateral design for Disneyland, El Torito, and The Charthouse. In 1989 Phil joined Strottman Marketing where he setup and managed a new in-house creative department that created award-winning promotions and kid’s meal programs for Burger King, Carl’s Jr., and Hardee’s Food Systems.

In 1992 he established his own design firm working with clients like Coca-Cola and Universal Studios. After two years. He joined creative forces with Kelston International expanding the Coca-Cola relationship to both Fountain and Bottling for the entire west coast region. At Kelston, Phil also did creative work for FOX Sports, GT Bicycles, Shimano, and Diagio brands Sminoff and Jose Cuervo. In 1998 Kelston partnered with Pacific Sports to create the inaugural L.A. Triathlon. Phil created and managed all the brand identity and marketing materials for the new event.

Phil joined Agenda Marketing Partners in July of 2002, adding his experience and talent to an already powerful creative team. In 2004 Phil became a managing partner of AMP, working with clients like Cinnabon, Coca-Cola, Baja Fresh, Catalina Chamber of Commerce and Spectrum Sports.

In 2009 Phil purchased AMP becoming the agencies principle owner, changing the name from AMP to Mix Marketing. Today Mix still has a strong and lasting list of clients in Baja Fresh, La Salsa, Chicken of the Sea and Spectrum Sports.
